Beaufort Holiday Events Start December 1
It’s beginning to look a lot like the holiday season and as the calendar inches its way toward December, Beaufort has scheduled a full slate of holiday activities all planned for the first weekend in December.
First off is the annual A Night on the Town celebration. This opening of the holiday shopping season takes place on Friday evening, December 1st, at 6:00 pm and ending at approximately 9:00 pm on the closed off streets of downtown Beaufort.
A long standing tradition of the community, A Night on the Town is a mix of traditional and the contemporary. An evening with a surprise around every corner and a number of things that will entertain, delight and get you in the Holiday Spirit. Shops will stay open late to welcome regular and new customers with special treats and a preview of their large and unique selection of items for the Holidays to help get a head start of the holiday season.
It’s a huge holiday street party.
The evening also includes the City of Beaufort’s tree lighting ceremony, food and drink, entertainment by community organizations, schools and churches, live music and a rumored visit from Santa!
On Saturday, December 2nd, at 5:30pm enjoy the Light Up the Night Christmas Boat Parade on the Beaufort River…it’s a sight to see.
Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park provides the best view of the parade. The first boats will start arriving at the seawall at the park by 5:30 pm. Boats will make several passes by the seawall. Hot chocolate will be available.
Bring the kids and enjoy the traditional Beaufort Christmas Parade on Sunday December 3rd at 3pm through the streets of downtown Beaufort.
You’ll see floats, marching bands, groups, golf carts, and personal cars and trucks in what’s usually one of Beaufort’s bigger parades, celebrating the holiday season.
